Visual Designs

A collection of posters, vinyl sleeves, and cover designs that balance concept, personality, and visual storytelling. Each piece explores how thoughtful design can capture attention and communicate a distinct identity.

Project Overview: This conceptual branding project involved designing a vinyl record sleeve and accompanying tour poster for a selected musical artist. The goal was to create a cohesive collection of promotional materials that reflected the band's identity and appealed to their audience. By incorporating vintage influences and alternative design elements, I crafted custom pieces that celebrated the band's history while maintaining a contemporary visual impact.

Project Overview: Inspired by the charm and nostalgia of Animal Crossing, a promotional poster and collectible travel map for a fictional destination called Dream Isle. The map incorporated the game's recognizable leaf shape and folded into a compact, pocket-sized format, blending practicality with playful design. Created as a keepsake for visitors and patrons, the project explored environmental branding, user experience, and interactive print design.

Project-Based Collaboration

Project Overview: This collaborative project challenged our team to reimagine Steamboat Willie using open-source material as the foundation for a new product and retail concept. The result, Mickey's Marvelous Cleaners, transformed the iconic character into a vintage-inspired cleaning brand brought to life through a custom-designed zine. Combining branding, editorial design, and visual storytelling, the project explored how individual creative perspectives could be unified into a cohesive publication.

Role & Contributions: Responsible for the editorial design and production of a complete zine format that integrated the work of all team members without altering their original concepts. Developed a custom title page, table of contents, and section divider spreads for product and retail categories while establishing visual continuity throughout the publication. Designed page layouts that balanced diverse content, maintained a consistent brand aesthetic, and enhanced readability through effective typographic hierarchy and composition. This project highlights strengths in collaborative design, publication layout, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize multiple creative voices into a polished final deliverable.

Tools: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Firefly.

Typography

This collection showcases explorations in typography through layout design, hand lettering, and composition. Each project demonstrates an understanding of hierarchy, readability, and the role type plays in effective visual communication.

Project Overview: Custom fonts were designed using Gen Alpha slang as inspiration, translating contemporary language into expressive visual typography. Due to the success of the "Glaze" concept, the project evolved into the development of an entire typeface family.

Project Overview: Custom hand-drawn type was created by interpreting the meaning and emotion behind individual words through visual form. The same conceptual approach was extended into a custom shoe design, using a well-known quote to develop expressive lettering that strengthened the message and created a unified visual narrative.
